About the project

To support the branding of retail spaces, illuminated signage elements were produced for the Sinsay retail chain.

The project included the production of:

• An illuminated interior logo
• An exterior illuminated sign
• Illuminated department signs inside the stores

The project aimed to:

• Preserve the brand’s distinctive identity
• Achieve a high visual quality for all illuminated elements
• Ensure durable, structurally stable construction and easy maintenance

Challenge

Sinsay signage elements have distinctive shapes defined by the brand’s graphic standards, requiring:

• Precise reproduction of complex letterforms
• Consistency across all branding elements
• High-quality finishing and attention to detail, as the elements are positioned close to viewers

Additional challenges included:

• Coordinating interior and exterior signage to ensure a consistent visual appearance
• Achieving consistent illumination both indoors and outdoors
• Ensuring long-term durability in everyday use

Conventional production methods for these types of elements would require:

• Multiple production stages and less precise manual fabrication
• More complex joining of components due to limitations in conventional manufacturing methods
• Significantly longer production and delivery times

Result

For this project, industrial 3D printing of signage letters using high-quality, weather-resistant materials was employed.

This approach enabled:

✔ High-precision production of complex shapes
✔ A stable and uniform letter structure
✔ Fewer joints by producing letters as single pieces
✔ Easier quality control at every stage of production

The letter structure was designed as a combination of:

• 3D-printed PETG sidewalls
• Front panels made of translucent acrylic (Perspex/Plexiglas)
• PVC (Forex) backing panels
• High-quality illumination using LED modules with optical lenses
